Interview Gap to be maintained between B1 and H1b visa?

HI All,

I had attended for B1 visa on July 31 2013 and it was rejected for my current employer. I have H1b approved by other employer for current year i.e.2014. So, my question are:-

1) Is there any gap that I should maintain to go for H1b interview, like 2 months or 3 months?

2) Will my B1 rejection affect my H1 interview as I will be going in October for H1 interview which is less than 3 months away?

There is no such Gap which needs to be maintained. Your B1 was for a different employer and your H1 is for a different one. Though it should not affect the outcome of your H1 decision, you do have to mention the B1 rejection in your H1 DS-160.

My 2 cents-
i don't think there is any cooling period / wait time as Raghvi mentioned, since its for a different employer and different category of Visa there shouldn't be any issue, Congrats and good luck, attend the visa stamping interview confidently!
