  • A little advice needed for someone who is applying in a foreign country

Hi everybody! I'm about to apply for a Tourism Visa (B2). I'd really appreciate some advice for the very particular situation in which I am.

This seems to be a forum created for people from India. I'm a Peruvian citizen, but for the reasons I'm about to explain I believe this is irrelevant ^^.

I have earned a scholarship from the Korean Government (the good ones in the south) that allows me to study undergraduate covering the school fee and also grants me about $800 per month for my expenses. This was three years ago. I'm a sophomore and a legal citizen having an overseas study D-2 type visa.
I met my Mexican boyfriend here in Seoul almost a year ago while he was on an exchange program and now he is back home. We had made plans for me to visit him for Christmas and new year, so he purchased plane tickets to Mexico with a stop on LA. Originally my intention was to get only a transit visa, but his father decided that for Christmas they are going to San Antonio (by car) to spend Christmas with his older son, who as far as I know has US citizenship. All of my boyfriend's family members have a tourism or business visa, so I'm trying to get it as well so he doesn't stay in Mexico just because of me.

The first problem might be that I've already submitted a B2 application form. I would like to give it a try, but I'm not sure about how to prepare for the interview. I'd like to know your opinion based on your experience. What are my chances? I'm planning to prepare a certificate of my scholarship, a certificate of enrollment, photos with my family back in Peru (??), a certificate of my bank account funds, plane tickets, but how could I prove that I might stay just for 3 or 4 days since we are going to drive?

Thank you so much for your help.
