are you applying for a B1/B2 in canada as a canada PR ?

Your chances will depend on your ties to canada , how long have you been here, stability of your work /income and temporary purpose
          of your visit to US.

You should be truthful about your past I-140. They will ask you about that, and you should give the impression that you no longer have any intent to
immigrate to US and you are well settled in canada.

Yes I am applying for B2 and I am a Canadian PR, I do have a permanent job here in Canada and we came to Canada in August last year and the main purpose of me going to US is getting the bank accounts closed, meeting my friends and shopping

              So, chances are good.

One can close one's bank accounts from overseas too.
So do not mention that .

Just say visiting friends and shopping. Be clear in your head where you will be going and who you will be visiting
as they will ask the details.
