Yes, anyone of you can travel alone.

However like any other country, entry into US is at discretion of the officer at point of entry. If you have relatives in the US that your family member is planning to visit then there will be no problem.

But let's say your mom was to travel to the US alone for tourism with no relatives in the US and she can't speak English, in this case there could be issues getting entry and she may be told to go back to India.

Ok but other than that its possible for us to go separately right, even though we chose to apply as a group? I dont want to travel only with my family if i get a visa along with them
