  • Which Foreign Travel Card is best to take from India?

    Hi my B2 visa got approved and I am travelling to states in the first week of september. I would like to know which Travel Card is best from India to carry money as I want to save on the loosing currency value. Please suggest. Thanks.

    I think most travel cards are the same. The banks charge a lot of commission for them and do not give a good conversion rate.
    When you surrender the card on return, again they give you a lower conversion rate from the market.

    Instead You can buy upto $ 3000 cash from authorized money changers in the market. They give you a better rate.

      In my opinion it's not very safe to carry so much cash on hand. Better to carry few 100 dollars in cash and rest in travelers check. Better safe than worry for few thousands which anyhow you may gain/lose seeing the current Rupee volatility.
