B2 VISA Reapply after rejection

Hi All,

I sponsored my brother for his B1 VISA. He is running his own consultancy in India. He is unmarried and living with my parents. When he went for the interview in May, the officer asked few questions and said his visa was not approved.

I wanted him to come here for my kids birthday in Nov can I reapply?

Is running a consultancy a reason for reject or he is unmarried?

Any suggestions on this is very much appreciated.

Officers look at stability/strength of job in home country , family (spouse and children). If your brother has neither it will be difficult. Plus the reason for coming only for attending birthday seems very casual.

if your brother can show strong local income at home country or a family to return to (spouse) chances will improve.
