  • In-Laws B2 visa

I would like to invite my mother in law to the US in November. But my Father in law is not interested in coming over to the US. He is working in India and his income is low ~10K a month and does not have enough bank balance (<50,000 INR). I was initially thinking to send him along with my MIL to the interview and later on just bring my MIL to the US. however after looking at his financial status, I am kinda skeptical if I should send him to the visa interview with his low bank balance. Do you think it would be a better option for my MIL to go alone for the interview and I can sponsor her. I got sufficient funds both in my US bank and NRE account. Please provide your valuable suggestions. Appreciate any help from you guys.

    Thanks,
    BA

It is better to get visa for your MIL, as your FIL stays back in India means MIL will return to India.
So, it is logical to get visa just for MIL with your sponsorship.

      Visa approved

My in-laws had their visa interview this morning and it went thru as clean as a whistle. Just some basic questions asked and then those ***** words. We are glad that they got it approved it the first time. On a side note i think a lot of these are filled with a lot of negative experiences and Its probably because its only when they get a rejection they get on here. So for any newbies securing a B2 visa is not that as you might think. Ofcourse there a little bit of luck factor as well. I would really like to this forum and all those who responded. This is really a great place to jump in when you need help.
