Visa Rejected due to overstay..Please help
My mother-in-law overstayed by 3 months in 2001 when she was in USA on B2 visa. I did not apply for her extension at that time because, we were planning to go back to India.
Chennai Consulate rejected her visa twice in the last month. First time they asked for documentation as to why she overstayed. I produced letters from doctor to say that she was not fit to travel. The second time, they rejected the application, saying thay she never applied for extension.
What should I do to get her here? Should I apply for 3rd attempt?
There is no way I can apply for her extension for the overstay which happened in 2001. It is almost 4 years from her previous visit.
My wife is expecting and she desperately need her Mom's help during the recovery process.
