Hi I have a B1/B2 visa, however I intend to take my family along and have their visa stamped. Want to ask which category should I apply their visa in, should it be B2 or it can be B1/B2

B1 is for business meetings, conferences etc.

B2 is for tourism, holidaying etc.

You apply for B2 (if they are going for holiday) and B1 (if it is a business meet - you will be asked to show documents for this business meeting and business). If approved, they issue a B1/B2 visa. I had applied for a B2 visa to meet my brother in Texas, they issued me a B1/B2 visa.
