moms visa rejected at chennai consulate under 214b-pl share ur opinion

hi,
my mom has an interview at chennai consulate on sep 12th.my husband sponsered her.he is here in us working on EAD,waiting for I 485 to get approved.
visa officer asked my mom the following questions
1)who is sponsering ur trip?
she siad son in law
2)how many children do u have?
3 daughters,
3)where are they?
one in us,remaining 2 are in india.last one is unmarried.
4)why ur husband is not accompanying u?
he has to take care of properties and my unmarried dauaghter,so he is not coming with me.
5)show me ur daughters passport?
mom gave the file we sent(i came from india in june 2005 )
6)show me the son in laws income statements(pay stubs)
mom gave the file again to them.they went through the pay stubs

that visa officer didn't see any documents of my mom.rejected under 214 b

214 b states that appicant have no strong ties back in home country.

my question is visa officer didn't look my moms docs.he saw only sponser's docs.without seeing applicats docs how can he say she has no strong ties back in india?
we could not figure it out what might be the reason for refusal.

pl share ur opinions,so that we can correct next time.

Why did your mother want to visit you so soon(3 months)after your leaving India? This could be the reason for the refusal.

If they are not satisfied with the answers , there is no need to look at any
documents.

suppose if we didn't have send my passport copies,what would they likely do?

Well, they will tell her to come again with the same.

She should wait a long time before applying again.

First time your husband sponsoring some one?

or sposored some one before?
How is his previous and present W2's, I am guessing his income is not enough, Looks like visa officer may not have any problem with 3 months.

This is the first time he is sponsering for visitor visa.2 years before he sponsered h4 visa for me.if they think income is not enough,can they give 214b?? bcoz 214b states that applicant has no strong ties to home country and doesn't say anything about sponsers financial stregth.whydon't visa officer said that sponser's financial position is not strong enough to sponser??

I heard some rules like below, nothing particular to financial position of the sponsor.

214(b)
221(g)
212

I have a friend, his parents had a interview with Chennai visa officer, they got the 214(b) and visa officer said comeback next year.

My friend is now making good money(80K), he sent recent paystubs, But for 2002 he earned only 40K- 45K.

If you don't mind can you share appoximate w2 amounts your husband showed?

my mom also visa rejected .it was on 13 september her visa was taken in telugu . same case but both my parents went.

Is the sponsor is having GC?
You are the only kid for your parents?
How you guys showed strong reason for returning back to home?
Is the visa officer asked for the TAX(not W2) papers?
Is there any strange question VISA officer asked your MOM?


My parents have a interview scheduled last week of october.

sorry to hear that.same case means what?? same 214b or u guys are in the same visa status as ours or u also came recently or any other thing common??
my mom said that the lady officer is giving visas for 2 persons and rejecting the 3rd person.It is very absurd.
I have been trying in ttsvisas for telugu appointments.all dates upto feb 20th are full and they didn't open from feb21st onwards.how can we get the apponitments?do u have any idea??
