Mobile SIM card

Well my parent is travelling from India to LAX.
I managed to get her Lycamobile prepaid card.
But just to confirm can she use AIRTEL prepaid SIM card while travelling other than any other Travel SIM cards..

She is traveling in Emirates.
Please let me know whether 1hr 55min layover in Dubai is enough for the transit?
While returning back to India, she will carry my baby (1yr10months) with her, so 1hr 55min is OK for transit during that time?

1. Make sure that you have activated the international roaming in Airtel. Otherwise, it won't work. Sometimes, the incoming works but outgoing does not work.

2. Yes, that time is enough. Emirates won't schedule flights that closely and sell you tickets if it were not feasible to manage within that much time.

As the Admin suggested, please do activate International Roaming on her card. I have used Airtel while in US. Airtel's local carries is AT&T in US, so it is all good.

Also, i had taken Emirates on my last trip to US, and my flight to Dubai had got delayed. I was getting all worried about the connecting flight, but the terminal for my US flight was not very far, so even after the flight delay, i reached the next terminal way before time. So, this much time is seemingly good. I hope her connecting terminal at Dubai is also very close from the landing terminal

I thought Airtel was only for contingency, and for local calls you had got her a cash card. Wasn't this the case?

Also, Airtel has plans for calls during International travel, i hope you were able to get information on that.

Meanwhile, I considered LycaMobile which had worldwide roaming with a US number and Airtel Sim card with International Roaming activated - both in a dual SIM phone.

While traveling especially for parents, cost/call is not a matter when confirming they are safe and not panic.
