B2 valid can go for F1

Hi,
I have b2 visa good for 2 more years. I have done my undergraduate study recently (3 months ago) from one of the community collge USA. Actually i went on B2 visa and then got my status change on M1. I came back home after completation of my Study on M1. Now i want to go back to do graduate degree from USA on F1 visa stamped from home county counslate.

My Questions are:
1)If i apply for F1 visa , then will my b2 visa be void, either f1 granted or not what gona happen to my b2 in this case.
2) what are my chances to get F1 visa on the ground above that i have recently finised my undergraduate dregree from USA and now i want to do graduate degree and this time i want to get f1 rather then enter in to USA and apply for status change.

F1 decision like a B1/B2 decision depends a lot on officer discretion.

These days officers take a history of change of status negatively . So your history of change to M status could be viewed negatively and F1 may be denied.
Usually if they deny an F1 on 214b they will cancel your B1/B2 as well , as 214b ( not convinced that you will return) applies to both categories.

In my opinion, you should weigh the above carefully before taking any decision to apply for an F1.

Another way is to enter US on your B2 and tell them that you are a prospective student come to view campus /courses.
They will stamp your passport as PROSPEcTIVe STUDENT , which can later help you change to F1 status. But for this,
you should clear all tests for college admission before entering US and plan your entry so that everything can be completed in the 6 months
they give you on a B2.
