Can I apply for my wife's visa from Abu Dhabi after last years rejection in Mumbai?

Dear Friends

I am an Indian engineer working in a US based large MNC in their UAE office and a resident of Abu Dhabi since July 2012.My wife also has a resident visa of UAE and lives in Abu Dhabi.

When I joined the company in May 2012, I was sent to US for training and I applied through Mumbai consulate and got my US visit visa valid for 10 years.
My wifes brother was living in USA that time(now in Canada) and so she applied as tourist with her brothers sponsor letter but her visa was rejected in Mumbai.

Now I have been selected for a job in Canada with the same company and for submitting Canadian work permit my employer wants me and my wife to come to NY.

Can I apply for my wife's visa from Abu Dhabi now since we are residents of UAE now?

This time I will get an invitation letter from my company for her.

Appreciate if senior members can please guide me on this.

Yes, you can. Even the last time there was no need for bro's invitation/sponsorship . That proved negative for her because a relative in US sponsoring
means you are not independent financially and less likely to return.

She could have just said she is accompanying you on your business visit.
