  • Visitor Visa for Widow Mother - Third attempt

    Hi,

My mother is applying for her visitor visa for the third time.
In her first attempt, she went with my youngest sister who is unmarried.
This time, I am planning to send here with another sister of mine and her husband, to indicate that they are all here only on a trip.
My brother in law has a very good managerial position, so there should be no problem on his side.
My question / dilemma is this: Are my mother's chances better if she attends the interview with my Sister and Brother in law, or is it better that she attends it by herself.
Any advice or information would be really appreciated.

    Thanks in advance,
    Sushma

    Hello, Sushma.

What i am observing is that it does not matter if people go in a group setting as there have many instances of visa being issued to 1 of the 2 applicants only (couple). The Visa Officers evaluate each case independently.

    Hope this helps.

    Wishing you luck.

    Cheers,

      Hi

Thanks a ton for your response!!!
I guess I should have worded my question better- so here is my second attempt

I guess I'm trying to understand if my mother going in a group makes it more convincing that she is just coming here on a trip - this is her real intention - but I would like to make it as convincing as possible.
I do understand that she will be evaluated individually - I'm just trying to make her case as strong as possible.

I really do appreciate your help and thanks a ton!!

No, it is not. What is important is her ties to the home country and her investments in the country. From what I hear it is extremely difficult for a widow mother to get a B2, but not impossible. Since she has had refusals before, it will be better if you post all details of prior rejections, her financials and actuals and what circumstances have changed since her last refusal. May help you to get more detailed replies.
This is my opinion. Not a legal advice
