Can a H claasification and B classification go together as a group for Visa stamping?

Hi,

I am on H1. Just finished 6th year and got my extension for one more year. I am going to India for visa stamping in couple months. My widowed mother applied for B2 Visa a year and half ago but the visa was denied after a single question asked to her. Since she went for the interview with a regional language consular officer, I do not know if there was any communication gap. So this time, I want to take her with me when I go for stamping. Is it possible to take her along with me though our classifications are different? Appreciate your help.
