  • Visitor Visa for In-laws.

I am working on H1-B since July -2011. I want to sponsor my in-laws for visitor visa to USA.
My father-in-law is farmer and mother-in-law is housewife.
I am going to pay for their trip.
I am going to send all the sponsor documents to them. They will go for visa stamping in Mumbai consulate. They don’t know English so, they need translator during interview.
They will take interview in Gujarati.

Is there any other document (other than sponsor documents) they need to carry for visa stamping?
Do they reject the visa based on farming as occupation?
What visiting period they should tell to visa office?
What things they should be careful during visa interview?

    Thanks in advance.....

They look at ties. Family and work( income).

they will ask if they have any children in India and how much he earns from farming. He should take his income documents/farming proof, though these days
they hardly look at any documents.

No other children in India and low income will be negatives , though the decision depends on the officer.
    2-3 months stay is appropriate.
