Hi Ppl:
Thanks for such an informative webpage and I did get some basic information by reading related threads.
I am doing my Masters in Lamar University, Texas. I will be graduating this December. Planning to invite my parents and younger brother for graduation ceremony.
My father is retired and mom works in a private school as head-mistress. Brother is working in a public sector company in Kolkatta.
Father has some good amount of money in Fixed deposit and a house in his name as properties to be shown.
He is the potential sponsor for both my mom and brother (though they can produce their salary slip,PF and tax forms).
I understand that , young ,unmarried persons have little chance to get VISA, but I wish to take a chance as my younger brother is not interested to pursue higher education in U.S.
Also, due to travel and leave problems , my brother will not be able to attend VISA interview with my parents in Chennai. Instead , I am planning to ask him to attend in Kolkatta with proof of sponsorship documents from my father.
1.In that case do i need to produce separate Invitation letter for my brother? or a scanned or photocopy of the original letter works?
2.If in case his VISA is rejected , will it have an impact in future if he gets a chance to make a business trip to US?
3.My Graduation is on December 14th, could you advise me on a better date to fix for the interview. Was keen to know the consequences if they go for VISA interview in late November.
Thanks
Premchand
