Can my mother travel on Visitor Visa While I travel on H1?

Hi,

I have a valid H1 petition and I will travel to US most likely by this month end on H1 Visa. Can I act as a sponsor to my mother and get her a visitor visa before I travel to US? I am planning to accompany her in my trip. Please let me know the feasibility. If yes, what all documents should I produce for her?
