I am 23 year old female studying in delhi my brother met with a serious accident in united states and sustained severe traumatic brain injury.we are being called for his rehab process with family he s stil unconcious.we applied for b2 visa emergency but denied without even asking for any documents please help regarding what could be done they denied under 214b pls help its really very urgent.he s a student there.

Me and my mother she said gm we said gm gve ur passports we did thn she asked who lives in usa we said my brother and her son thn she asked what he do there i said student where we answered thn i told her tht he has met with an accident she said ohh how itold hit as a pedestrian by car she askd is he in hospital i said yes critical she asked wat you do i said m a student of xxx she who u wanna take along i said mom she asked my mom wat u do she answered thn askd hav u travelled abroad said no she asked me y u wanna leav ur studies here i said my first prefrence s my brother thn she said sorry

You being young and single may not get the visa.

What about your dad? Do you have any relatives in your family who would be willing to go and help your bro out?

Ok.My dad can travel but not take care of my brother as he himself is not very fit. Also the document we recieved from the doctor allows only the ones in blood relation to visit as family is required for the overall support and care.My mother is not educated and cannot handle all alone that was why i am supposed to be there to handle the police case and communicate with the doctor.Any kind of suggestion is most welcome.Its the name of me,my father and my mother on the letter we have recieved.

Right now no one is there to look after him. He is alone there we do have a cousin but he has to look after his own family and he stays far away from my brother. Its very urgent for us to be with him.

Unfortunately, there is not much suggestion I can give to you, other than trying to reapply.

I understand the situation completely. But the consular officer thinks that you are single and if you go to the US, you will not come back. Therefore, you really need to work on that aspect. You need to convince them why you will come back.

yes, reapply. If denied again, request your cousin to at least pay a visit and take care of some basic issues. Offer to pay him for all the expenses.

Someone adviced us to get a request done by the senator to the embassy. Or get some paper from the lawyer stating the genuinity of the case? Is it worth trying for that?

Yes, it is worth trying too. I have read some posts where people have succeeded with senator's recommendation.

Ok thank you. And what kind of documents do i need to show to prove my strong ties back home? Like i do not at all want to settle there obviously. My brother's recovery is the only reason i want to go there.
