  • Renewal of Visitor visa for Indian Senior Citizens

    Good Morning,

This is a query about B2 US Visa Waiver of Interview and Finger Printing for senior Citizens.
    1.My In-Laws are senior citizens(82 yrs and 74 yrs).
2.Their visa B2 was issued in 2004 and were exempted from personal interview at the time of Visa approval. They were issued 10 years B2 visas without interview. They visited US in May 2004 for 6 months.
    3. Their Visa will be expiring in Feb 2014 and they would like to visit US again in 2014 summer.
    4. Are they eligible to avail the Waiver of Interview and Finger Printing for renewal of visa, which needs no interview,as per US rules cited on the web-site.

    Please advise.

    Thanks.

Since their visas are expiring in feb 2014, I infer that they were issued in Feb 2004.
Visa interview waiver is applicable only to visas issued AFTER aug 2004, so your MIL will have to go through normal finger printing and interview.
Your FIL, because of him being over 80 is exempt from interview.

            Hi Kasturi,
My father is 80+ yrs old and mother 70+ yrs old, do they both qualify for the waiver program? If so what 's the procedure to
apply for the visa? And what documents did you end up submitting?

            Thanks,
            Raj
