I am planning to avail the drop-box facility this time, and will be dropping the documents at the Kochi center. As I am reaching Kochi from US on November 11th, I was planning to drop the documents on the same day itself.
November 11th is Veteran's day and the US consulate is closed. But, it is not sure whether all the drop-box locations will be closed as well. Its not mentioned in any website. Immihelp shows the US consulate chennai holidays when I click on the 'Holidays of Bangalore/Kochi/Chennai' vfs centers.
I called up the vfs helpline, and their answer was very vague. They said as of now, there is no sign that the drop-box center will be closed, but they asked me to call them like within 2 days of the day that I plan to visit.
Anyone knows whether the drop-box locations close on the days US consulate is closed ? Has anyone gone to a drop-box center on a US holiday ?
Is there a direct number or email address for these drop-box locations ?
