  • B2 visa for parents

My parents are self-sponsoring their visit for 35 days and I am sponsoring my sister (who is working and unmarried). Should I ask all three of them to schedule under one family visa interview which I think will strengthen my sister's case as the entire family is coming for vacation. But I am confused as scheduling same interview for them all together might weaken my parents case as well.

Please suggest me on if they should schedule same interview or separately.

Also If your are suggesting same interview for the family, will sponsoring my sister and parents self-sponsored will have any negative impact on visa approval?

    Thank you!

There is no way to know in advance for sure whether scheduling together will benefit your sister or hurt your parents.

    It all depends.

Therefore, do whatever is convenient to them.

Is this a usual scenario where in same interview some members [in my case my parents] are self sponsored and 1 member [in my case my sister] is sponsored by me? Any experiences. What is the best way to strengthen my case.
