Urgent: ECNR and OLD PASSPORT

Hi

Do we need to get ECNR stamping in our passport to visit USA from India?

Do we still have to carry the old passport cancelled 4 years ago with us while travelling?

I know it is always good to carry more documents but I just want to know whether it is really required.

You are not required to carry your old cancelled passport but you should
carry it as
it may be of help if you are in some sort of immigration wrangle.

From the website it seems we dont need to get ECNR stamp in our passport to visit Northe America.

I myself have travelled without OLD passport but just wanted to confirm that it is not a problem if you still dont carry it.
