[B]My Parents & unmarried working sister got the Visitor Visa at 1st Attempt at delhi consulate on 21st Sept.

First of all, I would like to thanks iimihelp.com for this and all others who shared their experiences and gave valuable advices.
I will share my parents experience as soon as they will get their passport.

I am planning to invite my sister who is 25 yrs old (unmarried) for a travel visit. She holds a good job in Mumbai and has some property in her name too. My parents have a 10 yr visa already.

I will appreciate any help in this matter.

Age of sister does it matter while getting visa.
my brother unmarried working too.so, wondering...

Yes, age matters. Generally, it is much more difficult for young people to prove ties to home country if they don't have stable job and decent income.

What are the chances of getting visa in my sisters case where she is 25 yrs, unmarried, good job, holds property and good bank balance?

Parents & Sister's Interview Questions

Sorry all for responding so late and kept u guys waiting.

My Parents n sis appeared at delhi consulate on 21st september & got 10 yr multiple entry visitor visa.

I asked my parents to go to hindi counter as i thought they might have problem in understanding the accent.But they asked if anyone of my parents n sister understands english.My sister n my father knows english very well but my mother knows hindi only. They asked my parents n sis to go to english counter.
Officer was young white American and very polite.
My Father(60 yrs) is Retired General Manager (IIT product) n sister(24 yrs) is MBA from a reputed institute and working n unmarried.
My Brother(married) is working for Govt. of Rajasthan and lives with my parents.My father don't get any pension.He got all the benefits at the time of retirement.

First my parents n sister greeted officer.
he asked first to My sis n papa u ppl planing to visit ur daughter?
what she does?
for how long ur daughter n son-in-law there?
my parents answered the Question then CO checked all the papers( letter of invitation, letter to consulate,IT returns, passport n green card , Bank statements , employment letter,I-34) we have sent.
My parents mentioned 3 months stay and my sister 2 months.

I am pregnant but didn't mentioned it anywhere.

Question to my father:
how many children u have?
papa said 3
then officer said: one in US, other one standing here,where is the 3rd one(my brother)?he asked where my brother works n as wat?
then officer asked papa that u hav retire..from where n as what?

Questions to my sister :
he asked mam what r u doing?
he asked since how long r u working?
abt 1.5 yrs
wats ur job profile or work?

my sister changed the job in june 2005 so he asked since how long r u with this company? prior to that where were u working ?
he asked can i have a look at ur employment papers?
my sister showed all papers ( current company's appointment letter,leave sanction letter)

No questions from my mother as she dont understand english.
only checked ds156-157,passport n 3 dd's, no other papers.

He said ok .Congratulated my parents n sister & gave them 3 slips n asked them to go to TTS counter n give the 3 sllips.

Hi Bhkh ,

I am pretty sure that ur sister will get the visa.Be positive.The only key to get the visa is organize ur papers properly, answer all the questions confidently and have faith in god. Ask ur sister to prepare all the questions regarding her job.

My sister also unmarried, good job, holds property and good bank balance.

I am aware of the papers that I sent to my parents for their visa and the ones that they prepared in India. Can you tell me if you sent any additional papers for your sister or if she prepare any additional papers?

Also, did your sister say that you are sponsoring her or is she going to sponsor herself?

My Husband sponsored my parents as well as my sister.But my parents n sister also have sufficient funds to show n they are financing their trip to US on their own.
Even ur sister can self-finance her trip to US,i would suggest you to sponsor her.

Copies of last 3 pay stubs
Copies of last 4 years Tax Returns statement –W2s
