Hi,
I recently graduated with my PhD and have been working in a company on OPT since mid of july. My graduation ceremony is in dec and i am planning to invite my family (from india) for the same. My father will be sponsoring himself and my mother and my sister who is 15. What all documents do I need to send them ? do i need to send my tax returns, W2, bank statement when I am not the one who will be sponsoring them. Is it a good idea to send them the bank of statements just to show that I have enought amount for their 1 month long stay? what sort of questions can they be asked as I am on OPT now?
What documents can they provide the consulate with in order to show ties to india?
My father was in army and has been retired for more than 6 years now. Can this go against him? Is there any documents that I can ask my sister to get from her school that could show that she needs to come by a particular date. Please reply.
Their visa interview is scheduled on 18 of this month. Thank you.
I do not have any immediate or extended family in USA and i would really want them to be here for my special day.
