Number appeared on 221 (g). How long will it take for Visa stamping?

Hi everyone,

I'll be glad if anyone could give me some more information on this.
My father's b1/b2 visa was kept on hold because it needed additional processing.
Now the processing is over and he has been asked to send his passport.
Does anyone know how much time it usually takes for them to send the passport back with the visa?
Any small information will also be helpful.
