B2 Visa

Hello,
My query is:
Due to some reasons my mother and sister got visa slot(Visiting visa-B2) on Dec 12th 2013 and my graduation ceremony is on 13th Dec 2013.
So do they get visa if they attend interview one day before the graduation ceremony.
And what would be the questions raised by VO.
Please help me out in this

If they are presenting the purpose as attending graduation, then obviously there will be a big risk of denial.

If that is the purpose they wrote on DS 160 , you have to make some serious change of plans.
