Hi,
My mom got her visitor visa stamped last week.
I'm going to India for vacation and she will be coming with me to US.
What documents she would require at POE ?
Also, does she need to have her return ticket with her to show at POE? As of now, I haven't booked the return ticket.

Entry to the U.S. on a visitor visa requires proof of a return trip ticket (roundtrip).

I had recently been to the US with my family. At POE the only document the officer checked was our passport. While the officer did ask us the duration of our stay, he did not check our return ticket. Having said that, it is mandatory to book return ticket because I believe in their system through your passport number the officer would get to see flight booking details. Would strongly advice you to book her return ticket and if she wants to stay for a longer time within the granted time frame, then you can reschedule her return date.

Your mother should also carry a piece of paper having your address & phone no because on the Customs form she will have to mention them. As a precaution we were carrying my brothers documents like passport and visa copy but none of them were asked for.
