I want to change my status from B1/B2 to R1.

Religious visa

Sorry to step in Preeti, not just anyone can get a temp. religious visa(R1) ; you must be a member of a religious denomination outside US having a bona fide nonprofit religious organization in the U.S for two years immediately preceding admission to US.

If your husband is on R1 , you can change status to R2.
