PIO or Visa

Hi,

We are permanent resident and we wish to travel to India with our son(US born) next year Jan end 2014. We wish to travel every year to India for couple of months.

- kindly let me know whether to apply for his PIO or Visa ?

- What are the benefits of Visa or PIO in comparison

- If we apply for visa now, can we apply PIO or OCI later.

Other than the length of the visa, I do not think it will matter for a child. PIO is made for 15- 20 years while a multiple entry visa can be given
for 5 or 10 years.
You can apply for PIO later for the child even when the child has a visa.

Just a quick question, US Minor passport validity is for 5 years do we need to apply PIO / Visa every time we get a new US passport.

can either travel with both the passports or get PI0 endorsed in the new passport.
