  • Frequent B2 visa visits

I am working in Canada and I applied for a B2 visa to go attend my sister's wedding. I went over Thanksgiving and stayed for 2 weeks to attend the engagement ceremony. I have returned to Canada since I have to go back to work. Now, I plan on going back to the US around Christmas time to attend the wedding ceremony. What is your opinion on how the CBP guys at the border will act if I am trying to go back only a couple weeks after leaving the US?

I intend on bringing these to the border:

    1. My sister's invitation letter mailed to me inviting me to her wedding
    2. A letter from my work saying I am taking time off during Christmas to visit the US and will return after a couple weeks.
    3. A return ticket.

    Follow-up question

I am also planning on applying for an H1B extension (I have time left in my H1B) in the next few days so that I can come to the US around March. If I am denied entry on a B2, will that affect my H1B extension application/visa interview/border entry?

THey will ask you questions but just convince them it is her wedding and show a short stay like a few days instead of 2 weeks.
A wedding card will be better to show. Change yur leave /return ticket as per the stay.

It is likely they will let you in for a short stay but even if they turn you back they can cancel your B1/B2 but it will not affect your H1b entry.
