  • Different Port of Entry from Annotation

I got single entry tourist visa with annotation of "to take exam in Hawaii" prior of registering to the exam, unfortunately there are no seats available for the exam in Hawaii, so I registered to take the test in California. My query is, is it just fine to enter in California even my annotation is Hawaii? Thank you.

You are not bound by any USCIS or State Department rule to use the Port of Entry originally planned.

Thank you for the response, meaning there will be no hassle for me to enter in California as long as I have with me the pertinent documents for my examination?

Take documentation with you which justifies the change in the exam location.
