Hi Everybody,
This forum has helped me a lot of times with regards to US visa related issues. The information on this site is very up-to-date and consistent. I require a help urgently so I'm pinning my hopes on this forum !!!
Actually a colleague needs to travel to the US on 18th October from Bangalore. He has his passport ready and has got the date in Chennai consulate on 22nd February and Delhi Consulate on 7th February. But obviously he needs to get the visa date 'atleast' by 10th October so that he can make the trip. What of the following options should he try:
1) Keep watching ttsvisas.com to see if a appointment comes up before 10th february and grab the appointment as soon as it is available.
2) Apply for waiting list application through the consulate by faxing the front and back copy of his passport. this had worked for me in february 05. has this been discontinued now? is there any way this is still possible?
3) Wait for VFM to take over the process for application of visas from Oct 3 and hope that there will be interview slots available before oct 10th in case somebody having the interview slot has not reconfirmed his appointment on TTS site?
4) Is there any chance if he mails the TTS site with his application and requests for waiting list since his travel dates are exactly fixed?
What else can he do? Please help with your valuable suggestions !! Really anxiously looking forward to the replies.
