Question regd the Visa interview appt date

Do we still need to reconfirm the interview date before even the new VFS system being implemented. I heared that people who have scheduled the interview with the old system will be asked to reconfirm their appoinment. My question is whether we should wait untill we get an e-mail to reconfirm it or should we directly go to the website and reconfirm our appoinment . With the new system is there a 100% chance that the appoinment date can be preponed

I reconfirmed my appointment in "ttsvisas.com" page using the ">> Reconfirm Apppointment" option, after giving the web receipt # & Passport number, it gave me a message "Appointment reconfirmed".
