  • B2 Visa Appointment Confirmation Letter - Question/Doubt?!

Hello, I just scheduled interview slots for my parents to be interview in "MARATHI" - our local language in Mumbai. I remember that for very sure that, I'd entered the language of interview as Marathi, but it doesn't show up on confirmation page. Perhaps, I see that, "VISA Priority - ENGLISH". Does it mean, the language of interview is English? I'm really confused about this point. Any clarification will be greatly appreciated!

    Thansk & Regards,

This should not be a problem. When they go to US consulate in Mumbai for their interview, after clearing security check they will be told to sit in a large open hall. There will be someone there who will guide people inside the building in batches of 10 after checking their document. Your parents must tell that person that they want to take interview in Marathi. As soon as a translator is available they will send your parents inside.

Inside they will be directed to a counter where the passports will be taken to stick a token number on it. Again at this stage your parents must mention that they want to give interview in Marathi.

Since there are limited translators available, your parents may have to wait for some time in the waiting hall. There is nothing to worry as people at the consulate are extremely helpful.
