Regarding IT Returns for Supporting Documents

Hi, My Aunt is visiting to US on B2 Tourist Visa, to visit her niece and she is sponsoring the trip herself. She or her husband do not have IT returns for last 2 years as my Aunt is Home maker & her husband retired from his services. however she has enough funds to sponsor her trip.
My questions are:
Is it okay to just provide a Bank Verification letter stating her account details along with Bank Statement?
Can she also attach a Solvency Certificate from her Bank showing her FD's ?

Seeking Urgent Response as her Interview is next week, before Christmas.

I believe Peace meant in which Country/City will your Aunt attend the Visa interview - what is her home Country/City?

That is immaterial. Bank statements are sufficient to prove that she has funds available for the trip. Not having IT returns or a job can be a problem because she cannot show any ties to the home country. Does she have property or family at home?

She is attending her Interview in Mumbai, India. She is married and stays with her husband whose age is 71. Her age is 64. Her husband holds a property (owned apartment) in Mumbai.
Also let me summarize. She would be traveling to her niece, who holds a Green Card (her niece is married with an Indian who also holds a GC.). This trips is self-sponsored by my Aunt and she would be paying for the Return Ticket to US & her Insurance. Her stay, food and leisure travel during weekends would be borne by her niece.

Her husband is not interested in traveling,also he do not have passport & not intend to have as lack of interest. She only has one son who is married and working in an MNC in India. They all stay together. The reason my aunt is interested as she was the one who grew the niece for few years during her childhood & they both have great bonding.

Usually they do not look at any documents but decide just on your situation. Still, some proof of her funds (bank statement , FDs)
is enough. Even that likely won't be looked at. No need for solvency or other certificate. Make sure she has good funds or niece if working can send
affidavit of support.

The niece is working for BOA. Also in the affidavit of support (I-134 Form), at point # 11, I will ask her to select "I Intend" and followed by "All expenses including and limited to US domestic travel, lodging, boarding, food, incidental expenses and visitor medical insurance". Here I am not going to include Airfare to and back from US, as that portion is being paid by my Aunt.

actually splitting funding does not matter. What matters is what you write on DS 160 to the question 'who is funding the trip"
The officer reads that and decides on the basis of your income/savings. If she has good funds like 15-20 lacs , she can write "self" to that question and there
won't be any need for an I-134. if her savings are much below , she can write 'niece' to that question and then niece will have to send an I-134 with bank documents.

Got it, and thanks. Her actual funds are approx 10 lacs and she can show all of them through FD & her Bank Saving Account. She has already filled and submitted the DS 160 in which she had mentioned "Self Sponsoring" (and her interview is next week). So I guess the option may be that the niece has to give I-134 with mentioning in point #11 of split funding or limited sponsorship to certain expenses like lodging, boarding, food, domestic travel in US etc.

Please advice me on this.
