URGENT REQUEST: Question on ECNR
Friends,
My parents are going for visa interview early next month at Chennai.
My father has ECNR stamp on his passport.
My mother does not. She does not meet any of the ECNR stamping
criteria listed in the immihelp website except that she
is a spouse of an Income tax payee
1) Is ECNR a pre-requisite for granting of visa. Will the visa be rejected
if there is no ECNR
2) Can she get the ECNR just because she is a spouse of an Income
tax payee. Immihelp says she may not need ECNR but does not
say if she will be granted ECNR stamping based on her status
3) How long does it take to get ECNR.
