My parents have a 10 year visitor visa and the expiry date for it is Jun 20, 2014.
* Can they travel to US anytime before that date; e.g. sometime Apr/May?
From reading the forums and explanations; the duration of how long they can stay here will be decided by the officer at the port of entry.
e.g. If my parents arrive May 15, 2014; and if the officer allows; they can stay upto 6 months from date of entry; upto Nov 15, 2014 which is beyond the visa expiry date.Or can they stay only until the date the visa is valid; i.e. Jun 20, 2014?
* And next year; if they decide to travel after June20,2014; they will have to apply for a new Visitor visa?
Can you explain if I have misunderstood.
