Multiple visa stamps on my passport

I am currently in Canada right now (not a Canadian citizen) and I have a B2 visa on my passport. I will be getting an H1B stamp on my passport at the end of the month. Can I travel to the US on the B2 visa if I also have the H1B on my passport? Since I am visiting for personal reasons and not work, I would like to use the B2 visa and not the H1B so that I don't use up my H1B time.

Is this possible? Or will the consulate that is giving me the H1B stamp cancel my B2 visa when giving me the H1B? Will I get questions on the border if I also have my H1B stamp on the passport?

Your B2 in passport will most likely not get cancelled while issuing the H1. But as and when you enter US the officer would ask you the purpose and you would have to mention whether you are entering for B2 or H1 and show supporting documents if asked. And you would be getting an I94 as per the purpose. Also, sometimes the officer might mark the I94as NO AOS/COS/EOS. In that case you would not be able to file B2 to H1 conversion while in US.
