Who To Put For Us Contact In Ds 156 If I Have No Sponser And Going Just For A Visit

Yeah the head line says it all.i have the interview coming up.i wanna know should i put a us contact name or not since im not gonna show any I.134 form.is it neccesary to fill the us contact name.im planning on going to us on a visit visa with my own money.and i want to know if ds 158 is also neeed to filled.ds 156 i have downloaded it.do i just type the answers on my computer.and print it out back to back.or i need to be online and fill it online and print it out.I think back to back means printing one one side and the other side.not using two papers.

Hi,
A D.S 158 is only for a student visa. U can mention the hotel name and contact details in ur D.S 156. This would prove that u are a genuine tourist.

ok im planning to stay in a friends home.so theres no hotel there.should i put the friends name and address.or will they ask any invitation letter from the friend.i have none of that.thanks for ds 158 info.and i have not yet reconfirmed the appointment.i think they will email about that.

If you are staying with a friend a letter of invitation is required including his/her immigration status.

Get him to send a proper letter by regular mail written on his letterhead inviting you to stay with him and also explaining his visa/job status in US.
By the way, what is your purpose of visit (casual or business)and what are your personal details, if you want to discuss your chances.

well he has no letter head i can know.i have about one and a half lakh in bank.and im a engineer working in india.and im 27 years old and single.any chances.no property in india.

yeah im going for a causal visit for a month.just to see the places there.thats what i think i m gonna tell them in the interview.

but you won't get it. why? this combination is the most suspect never to return to India.

You'd have a better chance if you applied with a business purpose;
something related to your job or your career plans in India.
