  • Need to apply for B1 visa,

    Hello respected members

My wife and I applied for b2 visa in June 2012 two times in interval of around 15 days as we planned Summer vacation there. At that time my income was 4L/year and we got rejected both times.

Now there is convention I need to attend to in USA and my business associate wants me to attend it.

Should I apply for b1 visa alone or again with my wife for b2?

I am business owner and my wife also works with me. My current income is around 12L/year and wife's income is around 4L/year. I am happy to provide more information if needed for better advice.

Thanks for your advices in advance.

You are more likely to be approved if applying alone next time around.

Thanks for your reply. I am applying alone this time then. What could be my cons and what type of questions I could expect? I can provide more information if you want.

      Thanks a lot

When being interviewed for a visitor visa (B2), the interviewer needs evidence that you have material reasons for having to return to your country, so that you do not appear to be a visa overstay risk. You should be prepared to provide evidence of employment, family ties (children in school), real estate and liquid assets.
