  • Different scenario & need information regarding my mother-in-law visit.

    Hi,
I have little bit different scenario & need information regarding my mother-in-law visit. Little background about my scenario, i am on L1 visa and my wife is on L2 visa. My L1 visa expires on Jul-2014 & I-94 is valid till Aug-15. We are planning to invite my mother-in-law to US in March. My mother-in-law already have B2 visa(10 years multiple entry), which is processed by my brother-in-law. She already traveled several times to my brother-in-law's place. So, i decided to use the same visa to invite her. My questions are:

    1. Is there any issue using the same visa which is processed by my brother-in-law?
    2. Since i am staying in different city, state then my brother-in-law. She will face any problem in Port of entry?
    3. Since my visa is expiring on Jul-2014. She will not get 6 months I-94 of visit?
    4. Please let me know what are the documents needs to carry to show port of entry officer?

Let me know if any more detailed required.

    Thanks & Regards,

Once she has a 10 yr multiple entry , its use is not restricted to the original situation.
And they won't match her visa to her first sponsor address .
She can enter anywhere she likes. They will not ask for any documents unless she is visiting
too frequently . She should carry a copy of your visa and your contact address/phone no.

your visa validity won't affect the duration she will be granted. Usually they give visitors 6 months
unless they are visiting too frequently and staying too long in US.
