    Hi,
I am a single girl. I am in a relationship for 5 years. My partner is flying abroad to USA for a training program arranged by his company. He has been to UK and USA in the past couple of times for official work and both the times he returned back on time.

We decided that I will accompany him on this trip to USA. While I was going to appear for my Visa interview, many people advised me against stating that I am traveling with him. People advised that since we are not married yet, chances of my Visa being denied would be quite high and instead I should say that I am traveling alone.

Keeping that in mind during my Visa interview, I said that I am traveling alone and I got my Visa. Now my concern is Immigration at the port of entry, what should I say as I have not done my bookings in any other place and will be staying with my partner in hotel booked by his company.

Is it okay to say that I am staying with him? It will be contradicting my statement given during Visa interview that I will be traveling and staying alone. Will it lead to any negative consequences or I can mention that there were changes in my itinerary?

We do not have any plans of settling abroad. The intention of the trip is solely sight seeing.

just book your own hotel , cos you will need to show where you be staying , getting hotel reservation is perfect as it's your first time of coming to the Us. Since you already said your traveling alone at the interview, you can always call the hotel and cancel your booking after you pass the immigration at the point of entry so that way you don't get sent back. My opinion not legal advice.
