Hi Folks;
I applied for US visa in May 10, 2013 to attend conference AA in July 2013. However, the visa was approved on August 2013, when the conference AA was already passed.
By that time, before sending my passport, I sent the consulate an email and asked to reissue the visa for upcoming conference BB in April 2014. In reply, they wanted me to send an email early December 2013 with supporting documents for the new conference. I sent them all the documents on December 2, 2013 and I got the US visa issued last week.
When I received the passport. However, I found that it expires before the conference BB begins. Visa expires on April 1st, while the conference BB starts on April 28th.
I sent them an email to inform them about the mistake has been made while issuing the visa. However, they have not replied to my email yet, while they were pretty quick previously.
Do you know how can I follow up this case and if it would be fixed some way. Do I have to make an appointment and interview again ? As far as I know, I can't do it before the current one expires (early April) and then there might not be enough time to get a new one. I appreciate any help.
Thanks;
