Hello everyone,
I am a US citizen living in California, and have met the man of my dreams who is a UK citizen.
I recently spent 2 weeks with him in Europe in July, and it was wonderful.
Anyway, he came over to stay with me just over 2 months ago, under the VISA WAIVER program. It's his first visit to the States.
The big problem is that due to a mistake by the airline ( and ours for not double checking), his return ticket is no longer valid!
We have no way of paying for another ticket so that he may leave before the 90 days are up ( not that either of us want to part!), and we know that after being deported, he'll have a huge problem coming back to the states in the future.
Is there anything at all we can do to enable him to stay in the US with me and not get deported?
He has only 17 days left under the program, and being a sensitive man, is panic stricken at the thought of being arrested and deported (as am I!).
So if there is no way for him to be able to stay, what will happen to him after the 17 days are up? Will they come for him the next day, the next week or when?
(It really is distressing to think about all the problems awaiting us due to the simple fact that we both didn't think!!! That's love I suppose)
Thankyou very much to anyone who may be able to offer any advice and help.
Sarah.
