Name mistake in DS160 form

I am renewing my Father's visa how is 83 years old. He wa eligable for Dropbox. I filled up the DS160 form and also filled the profile via Web to go through the whole information to enter the payment and then printed the drop box letter.

When my Sister in law in mumbai went to submit it, they said the name in the DS-160 is not correct. It was showing his surname twice and need to be corrected. Now if i try to retreive teh same application, it says it already submitted and create a new one. New application will create a new application ID.
Does it mean i have to go and update the profile in a web for creating an appointment and go through the whole application filling and create a new drop box letters?

Also can i use the same payment receipt number from the previous application? For the dropbox, do i need to carry both the DS-160 forms?

Any help on this would be appreaciated.

You should discard the old DS-160 form and start all over again.

I am not sure whether you would be able to reuse the previous payment or not. You will have to just try to find out.
