  • Applying for parets and in-laws together

    Hi,
I am staying in US on L1B with my wife and it is valid till Nov.2016. I am wishing to invite my in-laws and my mother for one month to see US. I need some recommendations/suggestions as per my situation. I have average of 2000$ in my bank here in US and around 3 lac in Indian Bank. My father-in-law is Govt. employee and should have good balance in their bank. Mother-in-law is housewife. They are staying in Delhi.
My mother is staying with my younger brother and grandmother in Bangalore. My father passed away long time back. She is housewife and taking care of grandmother. She does not have any bank account and property on her name.
I want to bring all 3 at same time. As I read in may post, it seems it may be easy to approve for in-laws because of Govt. job. But for my mother, is it difficult ?
MY in-laws can sponsor themselves, but I will sponsor my mother. What are better chances for approval of all 3 ? Should I apply for all of them same time or what is suggested ?
Or on a separate note, if my in-laws will sponsor themselves, can they sponsor my mother also (If this option is possible and easy) ?
    Regards

    1. Each person is looked at independently. Therefore, whether they apply together or separately, it does not really matter.
    2. Sponsoring someone's visitors visa means taking care of their expenses of their entire trip. Do you think it is possible to have US trip in $2,000? Therefore, what will you really show that you will take care of?
    3. It would be the best if they are able to show that they are financially able to take care of the US trip. You can send them invitation letter etc.

      Immigration questions

Thanks for clarifying my doubts. I have couple of more questions, if those can be fulfilled.
1- I understand that it is just a idea and not definite amount, but is there any idea how much $ I should have in my account consistently ?
2- I have ICICI Bank account in India and Bank of America account in US. I am getting salaries in my both accounts. I should concentrate on which account ? Accordingly I will keep on transferring money to another account.
3- For how long, I should keep some big amount in my account before applying for visa for my parents ?
