Can I use a scanned copy for Affidavit of Support (Form I-134)

Hi,
My wife is currently in US and planning to bring her parents through visitors visa.
I understand that her parents need to present the Affidavit of Support(Form I -134) signed by my wife.

My question is whether we can use a scanned copy sent by her and take a print out for this purpose? Or is it mandatory to have the hard copy of the affidavit?

Not mandatory to send an I-134 if her parents have good income/savings to show self funding ( preferable).

But if you choose to send one, send an original one. She will also need to send copies of her bank statements/salary slip/tax return if
she sends an I-134.
