My mom is widow. I am currently in the US on L1B Visa which expired in Oct 2013. I have I94 which is valide till 2016. I have my sisters who stay in India.
My mom has two properties in her name- one is the house and second is a piece of land. One of my sister stays with my mom in our house in the ground floor and while the first floor has been rented out and the rent is earned by my Mom. Apart from rent, my mom also earns pension. So totally she earns around Rs. 10,000 a month.
Apart from the properties mentioned above, she also holds mutual funds, bank deposits etc around Rs. 2.5 to 3 lacs.
Given the situation above, and considering the fact that she is a widow and I am the only son, please answer the follwoing:
1) Would the financial assets and income shown above be sufficine if my Mom applies as self sponsor for her visit visa to US.
2) What are the documents that will be required if my Mom applies as a self sponsor.
3) If I become her sponsor for the purpose of visit visa, would the chances of getting visa for her would be less?
4) I work for a multinational organization here and also considering the fact that I am on I94, would it have any impact on her application for tourist visa whether Self sponsored or sponsored by me.
5) Which option will be better for her _ 1) Self Sponor or 2) Sponsored by her son (ie me).
