Port of Entry at SFO

HI All
My in-laws visa rejected first time then 2nd time they issued for 10 years.They mentioned 2 months at consulate,,they are coming end of october.What to tell at the port of entry.what kind of questions they ask they ask,could they say 6 months or 2 months.

Your help is appreciated.

Mention the actual duration that they would really like to stay.
